Writer Coley Gallagher has written for Motherwell, The Chicago Tribune, Hypertext Magazine and Mutha. She’s reported about women’s soccer for US Soccer.com and the site Playing for 90.

Born in New York, Coley spent her youth in and around Orlando, Florida. After college, she landed subsistence grant and copy writing jobs for nonprofits in Washington, DC and New York City. In 2000, she visited Chicago, bought a warmer coat and stayed.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Coley turned her whole family against winter. She resides on Florida’s Atlantic coast. She recently finished a memoir.
